Allotropic to build a new site and admin platform for VNG Engineering

Abstract dark composition with a single lime accent arc

Allotropic Ltd has signed an agreement with VNG Engineering and Consultants Limited to design and build a new public-facing website alongside a private platform for running projects internally. Work has started this month.

VNG Engineering and Consultants Limited is a Tanzanian engineering and consultancy firm. Until now, its presence online has been limited to a company profile document shared directly with prospective clients, which meant every enquiry started from a document rather than a page a client could find on their own. The new site gives the firm a permanent, public record of its services and past work, while the private platform replaces the spreadsheets and email threads currently used to track live projects and client feedback.

Scope

The public site will present VNG Engineering's services, project history, and areas of specialisation. Allotropic Ltd is building the visual design directly from the firm's existing logo, extracting its brand colours from the source file rather than approximating them by eye, so the new site reads as a continuation of VNG's existing identity rather than a replacement for it.

Behind the public site, a private admin platform will give staff:

  • A project tracker showing the status of every active engagement in one place
  • An automated feedback workflow that requests client input at defined project milestones, rather than leaving it to ad hoc follow-up after the fact
  • A testimonials system that holds client feedback for internal review and, once cleared, promotes selected entries to the public site

Together, the two parts of the project are meant to solve different problems: the public site is about how VNG Engineering is seen by prospective clients, and the admin platform is about how the firm runs its existing ones.

Status

Design is underway, built from VNG Engineering's company profile and brand materials. The admin platform is being scoped alongside the public site so that the two launch together, rather than the tracking tools arriving as an afterthought once the website is already live.

Allotropic Ltd will publish a further update once the site and platform are live, along with a short note on how the feedback workflow has changed the way client input is collected during a project rather than only at its end.
